:The Children and Youth Department
The library is committed to imbuing our children with a love of books and intellectual pursuits. This is not a grim task. The children's section is lively and inviting with colorful posters and art work, floor space for sprawling and tables and chairs of suitable sizes. This section of the library is usually buzzing with kids selecting and reading books and doing homework.
A cheerful, comfortable corner is designed to encourage mommies and daddies to explore books with their young children. A special attraction is the Comfy Computer especially for toddlers: With large picture keys, the children play interactive games and "read" stories in Hebrew and English.
A weekly children's Story Time is a favorite attraction and always well-attended. Story Time often includes interactive puppet shows, singing and meeting with authors of children's books.
